The GDS850 is an instrument engineered for infallible gas detection without uncertainty. Designed to exceed the strictest standards and built to withstand the harshest industrial environments, it targets critical applications in the oil & gas, chemical and energy sectors. Its hardware is certified SIL2 and its software SIL3 according to IEC/EN 61508, and it is certified to IEC/EN 60079-29-1, with ATEX and IECEx Zone 1 approval.
The GDS850 does not just detect: it interprets, communicates and protects. A wide range of outputs lets it integrate with the main industrial systems – 4–20 mA, optional Modbus RS485, and optional safety (SIL) relays comprising two alarm relays and one fault relay, where the second-level alarm relay operates in latch mode and the fault relay is always energized. A Bluetooth interface enables a simplified user experience via the Tecnocontrol app. The sensor is supplied as a replaceable cartridge that can be changed on site, and weather-protection accessories shield the detector from rain and dirt. Measuring range is 0-100% LFL with ±5% FS accuracy.
