Flameproof ATEX Zone 1 gas detector (Ex db IIC T6 Gb), IP66, with replaceable sensor cartridge, 4–20 mA / Modbus / relays. SIL2 (HW) – SIL3 (FW).
The GDS800 is the SIL, SIL/IECEx flameproof version of the GD800 platform, intended for hazardous areas classified as Zone 1. It is certified II 2G Ex db IIC T6 Gb and II 2D Ex tb IIIC T80°C Db, with EN 60079-29-1 performance certification and functional safety to SIL2 (hardware) and SIL3 (firmware). The robust flameproof enclosure carries an IP66 protection rating for harsh industrial environments.
Like the rest of the family it uses a replaceable sensor cartridge and offers semiconductor, catalytic, electrochemical and infrared sensor options for flammable gases, refrigerant gases (A1 & A2L, R290), ammonia (NH3) and carbon dioxide (CO2). The detector provides a 4–20 mA output and, optionally on request, Modbus RS485 and 3 relays (2 alarm + 1 fault). The GDS800 is the relay/Modbus/SIL-capable variant; ordering suffixes follow the GD800 scheme (GD800XX-R = relay, -MB = Modbus, GDS800XX = SIL).
Hazardous Zone 1 areas in oil & gas, chemical, refrigeration and process industries requiring certified flameproof, SIL-rated gas detection.
